Most people associate Bempton Cliffs with huge colonies of sea birds, the noise, the smells, the crowds, the spectacular. However, things are very different in the winter months with virtually naked cliff faces! Indeed, this was our first visit out of season and it was difficult to relate! Birds were not completely absent - our first Short-eared Owl of the year, a pair of Stonechat, Rock Doves, Shag, Guillemot, were the best plus Harbour Porpoise! Symphony enjoyed her walk, with new smells to explore and mud to walk through! A "refreshing" couple of hours before the rains came!
