I really wanted to see a spectacular Christmas Eve sunset tonight, so we arrived on the St Andrews Fields earlier than normal, and so glad we did! I wonder if that is Santa making the vapour trail? As we walked along Ashlawn Road, this was the scene ahead -
We were in for a golden treat, but the best was the sun setting while still highish in the sky!
Once the sun had gone below the horizon, the sky became a "frosty" blue, perhaps indicating very low temperatures over night?
